Recording Studio Rooms

Digital Services Recording Studio has 3 separate isolated live rooms for recording music and one hall with inputs for a natural hall reverb. Each room has its own sound and is adjustable to the requirements of the music. All of our rooms have cameras and 42inch LCD TV’s for line of site that looks into all recording rooms and the control room, and for other purposes such as voice over to video work. In addition to microphone inputs, each room also has speaker and instrument lines patched directly to the control room for clients that do not wish to be in the room with instruments that require amplification. A musician may place their speaker cabinet in one of our live rooms while recording in the control room with their amplifier.

Live Room With M149

Our main recording room has an 11 foot ceiling with 2 bass traps and 5 diffusion panels that provide acoustic treatment perfect for vocals and instruments that require more control and less room ambience. This room has direct line of site to the control room through a big sound proof window and line of site to the other rooms through our camera system on our TVs. We normally use this room for Vocals, Drums, Guitar and Bass Cabinets, and Horns.

Live Room with Drum Kit

Our second recording room has a very big ambient live reverb sound to it with little acoustic treatment other than movable diffusion panels to help separate some microphones from others. This room has a window that looks out to the recording hallway and the hallway outside the control room for our clients that require some visual cues from other musicians in addition to the line of site through our TVs. We normally use this room for drums that require a natural big sound, guitar cabinets, and other percussive instruments.

Live Room with Piano

Our third recording room is halfway between the other two rooms. It has a 10 foot ceiling with 4 diffusion panels split between three surfaces to keep a small live room sound for our 9 foot Kawaii Grand Piano. This room has two windows that look out to the hallway and the main recording room. Our piano is normally always mic’d up, tuned, and ready to record for any session that requires a live piano sound. We normally use this room for only piano, but have used it for some Bass, and Guitar for when groups require a record all at once situation.
