There is a long debate going on amongst the audio community about the differences between analog and digital sound and which one is better. Digital Services is not about to suggest which one to use over the other, but instead will offer some references for you to get a better understanding of the pro’s and con’s of each medium. We use a hybrid of the both analog and digital between our SSL Mixing Console and our Protools HD system. If given the option, most people agree that using both together today is the best option because of the speed of digital editing, and the sound of analog recording and mixing. Below you will find some useful links that better describe why people use one over the other and information about each. There is no right or wrong, but only a personal preference.
